Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics (BSBA)

SZABIST offers a four-year (eight semesters) BSBA degree program of 144 credit hours. This is an innovative program designed to blend business knowledge with advanced computing and analytical skills. For the BSBA program, students are required to complete 48 courses, a 03 credit hours Capstone Project, and 03 credit hours Graded Internship. The students will take 4 Program Elective courses from Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management (HRM), or Supply Chain Management (SCM). To obtain the BSBA degree, students must complete 144 credit hours. The maximum time limit to complete the BSBA degree is six years.

Accreditations and Exemptions

BBA program is an ACCA accredited program; those who complete BBA from SZABIST, Karachi, will get an exemption in 06 out of 09 ACCA Foundation papers (F1, F2, F3, F5, F7 and F9). BBA students and alumni are exempted from all 13 courses of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification, and are only required to pass three case studies. BBA Program has been accredited by National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) and is also affiliated with Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.

Internship/Field Experience:
Internship / Field Experience will be offered in the Sixth Semester or In Summers after the Sixth Semester. The students will be required to complete a graded internship for a minimum duration of 06 weeks or program-relevant field experience for a minimum duration of 06 months to qualify for the degree.

Admission Requirments (BBA - 4 Years)

For admission in the BBA 4 years  program, the candidate must have completed O-Levels (minimum 8 subjects including 5 compulsory subjects; English, Urdu, Maths, Islamiat & Pakistan Studies) and A-levels (minimum 3 Subjects)/12th Grade/Intermediate with minimum 50% marks or equivalent from a recognized institution. Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) equivalency/attestation is required for O & A Levels/IB Diploma/High School Diploma/SSC & HSC or equivalent. General Paper (A Levels) will not be counted.
